Description
West Chester Studio Singers along with the West Chester Studio Junior Singers create a Concert to be performed in and around the West Chester area. All students will perform a solo within the concert.
WCS Singers focus on all aspects of performing a song: interpretation, healthy vocal technique, and performance skills of solo, duet or trio and group numbers. Ever wonder how the stars on GLEE create such perfect acting choices in their songs? Professional actress Therese Walden-Murphy has a technique which helps performers not just sing their song but Perform their song. Our students never wonder “What do I do with my hands?” “Where do I look?” or “How do I make this song my own?”
The tentative Winter Session dates for the West Chester Studio Singers additional rehearsals and concerts are as follows:
Rehearsal: Thursday March 21st from 4:00 till 5:30 pm on stage at the Chester County Historical Society. This is our only on stage rehearsal with the West Chester Studio Jr. Singers, attendance for this rehearsal is of utmost importance!
Concert Schedule: Friday March 22nd at 7:00 pm at the Chester County Historical Society. Sunday March 24th at 1:00 pm at the Sunrise in Exton.
Recital
The final hour of class, March 9th at 2:30 pm, will be a recital of the student’s work.
Additional Information
Winter classes run for 10 weeks, from January 5th though March 9th.
In the event a class is canceled due to inclement weather the make-up class will be held on March 16th.
